Maybe I can talk about a special piece of furniture, something that represents my new recycling phase: restore and reuse. Yes, that is it. Well this sofa deserves a proper introduction, just a short story, I swear.
One day I went to pick up my son at school. There, some work had been undertaken and they threw away a lot of furniture. I saw a 2 seat sofa in the skip and had my first before-after visualization. At that exact moment I knew I would make a room in the tiny boot of my car and would squeeze the chair in, to the dismay of my son who said “no mum, please no, this is sooooo embarrassing” and I said “just pretend you don’t know me but I will take this sofa home.” By the way, I left the sofa in the driveway as soon as I got home and rushed to pick up my daughter. In the meantime, my husband arrived at home and saw “that thing” in the driveway and started moaning, ‘who the hell left this rubbish here?’
