I am Rita Vieira Medeiros and I have just
started this blog (Nov 12). I am
Brazilian and live with my husband and two children in Leamington Spa – UK.
I have always been passionate about arts and crafts. I love to give old things a new life.
In my pre-children life I worked as a film producer coordinator.
I have been working as a part time Administrator since June 2008. Every spare time I have I play as craft maker.
For 9 years as a full-time mum I have increasingly begun to appreciate the value of handmade items in our mass-produced world. I have attended various art, craft and design courses related. So now I love to work on any crafty project that can teach me something new.

I spend a
lot of time reviving old, forgotten about pieces. One thing that makes my day
is to find a piece of furniture to restore and reuse on my leisure weekly trips
to the tip.
I wish the
day had at least another 8 hours to have more time to do everything I want and
need.
I think I am
a hyperactive person, I can’t stop a minute. If I start work on an idea, I don't stop until
it's accomplished.
