Just to tell you
all why I have been away for so long… my house is finally ready. I have a new
bedroom (loft converted), bathroom, kitchen/dining room, utility room, WC
downstairs and thousands of ideas to redecorate our new home - just to drive my
husband crazy. Anyway we are all very pleased with the results. I don't need to
say it was time consuming, hard work, stressful, expensive and all that stuff
however it was all worth in the end. So here I am back to work. I have been
commissioned to re-upholster a chair, which was a real challenge.

Upholstered chair
Look what I finished. It took more time than I thought. It is finally ready in the middle of the chaos of our house refurbishment.

New upholstery project
It is a long time since my last post. I have been really busy, travelling with friends, organizing with my husband and my children the refurbishment of our home which will start in February so I decided to attend another upholstery course. You may think I am crazy, how on earth she is busy and will attend another upholstery course. Well, at the moment it was the only way to commit at least two hours a week of my time to keep doing my projects.
I had to visit the waste dump the other day to get rid of stuff. I happened to have a look in the Recycle shop and I noticed a chair. Look what I found...
Now you have to visit my blog again. It will be ready in 7 weeks.

My first lampshade project. I used an old frame which I found in one of my trips to the recycle centre shop.

cushion covers for corner sofa
I always wanted a corner sofa, but I couldn't spend a lot of money on a brand new one. I had found this one advertised on the virtual board at work and it fitted perfectly in my living room. The only thing was, I instantly knew that I would need to change the covers ASAP and spend a few days making new ones.
